Formed in 1975 and based in Edinburgh, Dunedin Canmore Group is a key provider of housing and related services in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.

Our aim is to be Leaders in Building Communities where People Choose to Live – we believe we are the model of a modern, innovative housing association at the forefront of new initiatives, with service delivery at the forefront of everything we do.  We have built a brand based on ethical values, commitment and excellence.  Community Regeneration is a core function of business with sustainability at the heart of what we do.

One of the defining features of the Dunedin Canmore Group is partnership working. We understand and embrace the benefits of working with other people who can bring their own skills to help us achieve our objectives.

Dunedin Canmore is the lead Association of the Rowan Group, an alliance of Housing Associations that looks at future provision of affordable, innovative housing and support in and around the Edinburgh area.

As a local organisation we ensure that we are reliable and approachable.  It is very important to listen and respond to needs to gain the respect of the communities we work in.

“Our core activity is delivering homes, of course,” says Chief Executive Ewan Fraser - Dunedin Canmore has nearly 600 properties currently ‘on site’ and will hit 6,000 properties in total by 2015. “But, what really sets us apart is the breadth of our involvement in the communities we house.  We are not about just providing accommodation we want to help to make peoples’ lives better”.
